Summer youth camp
The details:
The Sherman Police Summer Youth Camp is a FREE educational program designed to allow our area youth to become more familiar with the many functions of the Sherman Police Department. Sherman Police Officers will instruct classes that include hands-on activities, role-playing, and demonstrations in the areas of patrol, evidence collection, building clearing, K-9s, traffic stops, and many other public safety related topics!
Starting in 2024, SPD will offer two separate camps, Rookie Week and Veteran Week. Rookie Week will be designed for first-time campers, who haven’t yet participated in our Summer Youth Camp. Veteran Week will be for returning campers, who have already completed Rookie Week.
